Building Operations Technician / Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: VA Capital Region Readiness Center, 221 Butler Avenue, Building 511, Martinsburg, WV
Schedule: Full-time onsite; day, evening, and overnight shifts supporting a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays.
GD Resources seeks qualified technicians to monitor and maintain a mission-critical facility and its electrical, cooling, backup power, and building systems.
Responsibilities
Monitor building management systems, equipment alarms, and environmental conditions; perform facility rounds and operational checks.
Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting within your qualifications.
Respond to equipment failures, initiate safe corrective action, and escalate issues to management and specialist technicians.
Support HVAC, generators, UPS, fuel systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
Coordinate and escort service vendors; maintain shift logs, work orders, and maintenance records.
Follow safety, lockout/tagout, security, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
At least three years of relevant experience in data centers, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities, commercial infrastructure, or comparable operations.
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical/mechanical equipment, building controls, and alarm response.
Ability to read technical drawings, use computerized maintenance systems, and communicate clearly in English.
Ability to complete required VA background screening, fingerprinting, badging, and security training.
