About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology (IR) / Cath Lab for a 13-week contract opportunity in Rockford, Illinois. The RN will provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and cardiovascular procedures while supporting safe, efficient procedural workflows.
The ideal candidate will have strong Interventional Radiology experience , cardiovascular intervention experience, and previous critical care nursing experience. Experience working in IR within a Level I Trauma environment is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after Interventional Radiology and cardiovascular procedures.
Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor clinical status throughout procedural care.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, nursing standards, and established clinical protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe and efficient procedural outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and participate in required weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call coverage.
Requirements
Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License Required at Time of Submission.
Minimum 3 Years of RN Experience Required, Including at Least 1 Year of Critical Care Experience.
Interventional Radiology / Cardiovascular Intervention Experience Required; Level I Trauma IR Experience Preferred.
Current BLS,BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS Certifications Required.
Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program Required; Ability to Successfully Complete an EKG Test During Orientation Required.
