Role Summary

Implement and operate ServiceNow IT Asset Management capabilities across hardware, software, SaaS, and cloud assets, covering lifecycle, compliance, inventory, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and/or Software Asset Management (SAM) workspaces and processes.
• Manage asset lifecycle workflows from request/procurement through receiving, deployment, stockrooms, inventory, refresh, and disposal.
• Configure software normalization (Content Service), software models, entitlements, reconciliation, and publisher packs (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, SAP).
• Implement SaaS License Management and hardware model normalization with end-of-life/end-of-support data.
• Improve asset-to-CI synchronization and data quality across ITAM and CMDB.
• Integrate with procurement (e.g., Coupa, Ariba), Discovery, endpoint tools via Service Graph Connectors (SCCM, Intune, Jamf), and financial systems.
• Develop asset dashboards, compliance positions, and optimization/savings reporting.
• Support audits, testing, upgrades, and production operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 4+ years of ServiceNow experience, including 2+ years of hands-on HAM and/or SAM implementation.
• Understanding of asset lifecycle, inventory, software licensing metrics, and compliance.
• Knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, and Service Graph Connector data flows.
• Strong data-analysis and process-design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CSA; CIS-Hardware Asset Management and/or CIS-Software Asset Management.
• IAITAM certifications (e.g., CHAMP, CSAM).
• Experience with enterprise software licensing audits and vendor negotiations.

Level & Experience
We are hiring at multiple levels; final level/salary is based on interview performance.

• L2 (3-5 yrs): Independently configures HAM/SAM processes, asset lifecycle, normalization and reconciliation.
• L3 (5-8 yrs): Leads ITAM workstreams, owns publisher compliance positions, asset-CI data quality and procurement integrations.
• L4 (8+ yrs): Defines the ITAM strategy and roadmap, drives license optimization and audit defense, and advises client leadership.

General Expectations

• Work effectively in Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery environments and collaborate with distributed, multi-time-zone teams.
• Produce clear technical/functional documentation and follow established development, security, change, and release standards.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and client leadership.
• Support production issues, releases, or scheduled activities outside standard business hours when required by the engagement.
