Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic / Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy construction and specialty equipment . This position is primarily shop-based, with occasional field service as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting abilities, particularly in hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrain diagnostics , and is comfortable working on complex equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, including CAN-bus controls
* Perform major component repairs and rebuilds on diesel engines, powertrains, undercarriage systems, transmissions, and structural components
* Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure safety, performance, and reliability
* Complete service documentation, parts lookups, and work order reporting accurately and timely
* Perform shop repairs while safely operating heavy equipment and support tools
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
* Experience working on heavy construction equipment such as earthmoving, foundation, utility, crane, mining, or specialty equipment
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
* Experience with electronic controls, CAN-bus systems, and diagnostic software is highly desirable
* Solid understanding of diesel engines and powertrain systems
* Ability to interpret service manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
* Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
