What You’ll Do

• Teach & Inspire: Deliver culturally relevant, standards-aligned instruction that challenges and engages every student. Adapt lessons to meet diverse learning styles and support social-emotional growth.
• Drive Measurable Progress: Use real-time student data (formative, summative, and performance assessments) to adjust instruction and prepare scholars for rigorous benchmarks (e.g., SBAC).
• Maintain High Classroom Standards: Establish a structured, positive, and productive learning environment grounded in MWA’s culture of respect and achievement.
• Partner with Families: Maintain frequent, proactive communication with parents and guardians to keep them invested in their student’s academic goals.
• Collaborate & Grow: Actively participate in weekly professional development, peer coaching, and team collaboration meetings.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with deep content knowledge.
• Valid California Teaching Credential (or current eligibility/enrollment in an approved intern or credential program; support provided for qualified applicants).
• High-Expectations Mindset: An unwavering belief in every student's college- and career-ready potential.
• Reflective & Growth-Oriented: A professional who adapts quickly based on student data and coaching feedback.
• Clearances: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background screens (Live Scan/fingerprints, TB screen, CTC Certificate of Clearance, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification).
